CCNP Routing and Switching

CCNP is th professional level certification from Cisco. The focus is on managing routers and switches as well as edge applications that integrate voice, wireless, and security into the network. Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) validates knowledge and skills required to install, configure and troubleshoot converged local and wide area networks with 100 to 500 or more nodes. With a CCNP certification, a network professional demonstrates the knowledge and skills required to manage the routers and switches that form the network core, as well as edge applications that integrate voice, wireless, and security into the network. The CCNP training curriculum includes building scalable Cisco networks, Cisco multilayer switched networks, securing converged wide area networks, and optimizing converged networks.

CCNP Recertification

Cisco professional level certifications CCNP Security is valid for three years. To recertify, pass ONE of the following before the certification expiration date:

  1. Pass any current 300-XXX Professional or 200-XXX Associate level exam
  2. Pass any current CCIE written Exam
  3. Any CCIE Certification
  4. Pass the current CCDE written Exam or Current CCDE Pratical Exam
  5. Pass the Cisco Certified Architect (CCAr) interview AND the CCAr board review to extend lower certifications.
